Behind the Scenes of our Fall Photo Shoot at the Wynkoop House

Our fall photo shoot took place at the historic Cornelius Wynkoop House in Stone Ridge. It was an incredible day and we are excited to share the behind the scenes images with you.

Our hair and makeup artist Liam Dunn with one of the models, Koval. This was our first time working with them both. Since starting this brand, we have been fortunate to work with extraordinary hair and makeup artists and models and this shoot was no exception. This is Koval without any retouching.

The photographer, Inge Fonteyne, was suggested by my friend Ann Caruso as they go way back to their days at Vogue together. Inge launched her career as the assistant for the legendary French stylist Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele. She has since carved out her own path and has an illustrious career working with the top models and artists in the industry. I was blown away by Inge's talent and work ethic. Her attention to every single detail was remarkable, and she was so good natured throughout a very long day. In the weeks leading up to the shoot, Inge guided the model selection and collaborated on the styling and themes. I felt like she fully understood the mood and direction, and offered her own suggestions which took this shoot to a different level. The creative process with Inge was energizing and inspiring and made me remember why I initially started this brand. Entrepreneurship is not an easy path in life, however my original goal was to offer well made classic pieces that withstand the test of time. Inge brought the collection to life in a way that felt fresh and modern yet still timeless. I couldn't have been any happier with the results of this photo shoot, and can't wait to work with Inge again.

The hair was so natural for this shoot. I think it had just the right amount of volume that Liam achieved with his wind blower while we were shooting the Catskill Turtleneck.

We were going for a slight 80's Brooke Shields vibe with Jasmine's hair. We were shooting the Kingston Fisherman Knit here.

A candid shot of Jasmine (who just landed a big beauty campaign!). The sweater she is wearing will be available next month.

Koval has more energy than anyone I've met in my life. She was so animated and hilarious all day long and kept making us laugh by doing cartwheels while Inge was shooting Jasmine. Here she is in the Fisherman Knit Turtleneck. Both models are such good human beings which made the shoot a pleasure. Liam was so impressed with Koval and Jasmine's exuberance that he suggested the theme for the day: "finding your free spirit again". Their energy and positivity made a beautiful shoot even better.

Inge's assistant's Mike and Scott were a dream team! I enjoyed every single minute working with them as they made the day so much fun.

Liam's assistant Gina, pictured here with Koval in the Fisherman Knit Crewneck, was also amazing and brought such great energy to the shoot.

This bedroom was my favorite room for shooting. I thought it was the perfect setting for the fair isle knits like the Rhinebeck that Koval is wearing here.

Finally, we have to mention the Cornelius Wynkoop House, which was my dream location. Not far from my own house, I would drive past this historic stone home and think how amazing it would be for a photo shoot, without knowing that it could ever happen. Finally I decided to google it and found that they do rent it out on occasion. The owners were so generous with me, and I still can't believe how perfect the Wynkoop House was for the brand. You can learn more about it here  and visit the web site here
