A Visit to Hudson

A Visit to Hudson

One of the many benefits of living in the Hudson Valley is being able to visit the charming towns and villages in the area. Hudson ranks among my favorites and being less than an hour away makes it a perfect afternoon trip.
We started with lunch at The Maker Hotel on Warren Street. My photos don't even begin to capture how elegant this place is. If you are planning an overnight visit to the area, I highly recommend staying at The Maker.
A friend told me about Les Indiennes and it is now one of my favorite shops. Their fabrics and wallpaper are so chic and perfect for a country house.

Such beautiful prints and the fabric quality is excellent.
I'm planning another visit to Les Indiennes in the near future for bedding and a new table cloth.
The Quiet Botanist has a lovely selection of dried flowers and gifts.
Hudson Clothier offers exclusively American made goods.
They offer a nice selection of gifts for the outdoor enthusiast in your life.
We always enjoy visiting Westerlind in Millerton for their pet accessories, candy and Barbour jackets. This was our first time in the Hudson location.

Our final stop was Talbott & Arding for fresh bread, cheese and vegetables.
We are already looking forward to our next trip which will include visits to B Sides Jeans and Jamestown Hudson.
All of the shops mentioned are on Warren Street, with the exception of Talbott & Arding which is at 202 Allen. If you visit Hudson, we suggest walking up and down Warren Street and popping into the various shops and cafes. Enjoy!
