MEET STYLIST ALLISON BORNSTEIN
MEET STYLIST ALLISON BORNSTEIN
This week on Wynne's World we meet stylist Allison Bornstein. Allison suggested the Heidi Wynne Marella Satchel for several of her clients and not only are we grateful for the support, we are fortunate to have found her because she has such great style, her posts are so inspirational and she is one of the nicest people you could meet. Allison's genuine enthusiasm for her work is evident in her Instagram posts as well as her YouTube series. This was such a fun interview and we thank Allison for sharing her background and favorite things with us this week.
Interview with Allison Bornstein: My name is Allison Bornstein and I am a wardrobe stylist based in New York. I began my career as an intern at Teen Vogue at age 20 and from there went on to assist some of the most amazing and creative stylists (shout out to Julia von Boehm, who I assisted for six magical years!). I love fashion so much, but it has taken me a while to find my place. Within the past year, I started doing a YouTube series with Violette_Fr to help women of all ages, shapes, sizes, and backgrounds address their various wardrobe challenges. Through this series, I found my calling! I am very goal-oriented, so give me a challenge, and I will figure out how to solve it.
I am currently trying to expand into personal styling. I have worked with brands forever, but through my Instagram and Youtube, I have found that I love that one on one connection. Nothing is better than helping a woman pick out a piece of clothing and then watching her transform. I often say that fashion is wellness and I truly believe that. When you look good, you feel good. Fashion is such a powerful tool for self-expression and I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to make women feel good about themselves simply by suggesting a specific piece of clothing and nurturing those relationships.
That said, clothes are transformative— you feel different depending on what you wear and I want to help women find what makes them feel strong and powerful.
Currently reading: I am currently reading The Farm by Joanne Ramos and I love it. It is sort of Handmaid’s Tale-esque.
Fall Travel Plans: My cousin, brother, boyfriend, and I are renting a beautiful house in Hudson, New York for a week to relax, cook, and hang out. I am so excited!

Fall Favorites: My go-to pieces this fall are: high waisted Re/Done jeans, LeoRosa Rose cardigan in black and white, Blaze Milano black double-breasted blazer, and Everlane western boots.

I love fall because I love to layer. I would wear all of these pieces at once! Please check out my Instagram for a full Fall Edit with all of my favorite pieces!
Beauty Essentials: I love the brand Omorovicza— I use their serum, eye cream, moisturizer, and face wash and they are all great for my skin type. I use Corpus deodorant in Santalum, which smells so good. I have a hard time with natural deodorants, but this is the best one I have tried. I have also been on the hunt for the perfect mascara for years and I think I finally found one that works for my lashes— Hourglass Extreme Lash Mascara. Other favorites include Dr. Devgan Platinum Lip Plump (I swear it’s life changing actually), Dior Addict Lip Glow and Kosas 10-Second Eyeshadow in Globe.

What is meaningful in your life: My friends and family will always be the most meaningful thing in my life. I work so hard to be a good sister, daughter, partner, and friend. That is all that matters to me!

I also was always very anti-Instagram because I was struggling to find the right way to use it that worked for me. Now, I am using it to educate and inspire women with fashion and that has been such a source of joy for me recently. I love connecting with women from all over the world and answering all of their fashion questions.
