I know the weather is finally turning and it is way too early to be thinking about fall however we are too excited about the collection not to share it with you. Fisherman's knit sweaters from Ireland, cozy cashmere turtlenecks with the perfect fit and a classic leopard print wrap will be featured in the collection. I would say we can't wait but we can- hoping for a long, hot summer first!
A few months ago while discussing plans for our next photo shoot, the beautiful blonde model from my line, Caroline, and I decided that it would be fun to incorporate our dogs into the shoot. Caroline has a sweet, elegant and extraordinarily well behaved Shiba Inu named Croissant (who happens to have his own Instagram page @croissant_theshibainu) and I have a high spirited Chihuahua mix named Jason. When I saw the new issue of Vogue yesterday I realized we were on the right track as there were plenty of dogs. Needless to say we had a blast during the shoot and the dogs became the best of friends.
We just wrapped up developing the collection for fall/winter 2015 and one of my favorite parts of the process is the inspiration drawn from certain images. I found the above photo on habituallychic.luxury and it brightened up a dreary February day. It's a Pamela Hanson Vogue editoral with Bridget Hall and Kylie Bax from 1996 however the look is so timeless and chic that it could have been shot yesterday. We will have a camel cashmere turtlneck in the collection for fall 2015 that is not so different from the one pictured here. We love a classic!
Last weekend I left freezing cold New York with a small group of friends. We traveled up to even colder Vermont for a ski trip to Sugarbush where I fell in love with the town of Waitsfield. It is so picturesque with rolling hills and farms and quaint little restaurants and shops. It feels like a different century. There is even a covered bridge in the middle of town. My favorite spot for dinner was American Flatbread which serves pizza from a wood fired, clay oven. The pizza is made with organic flour, organic tomatoes, and many organic & locally-farmed meats, veggies, and cheeses. The staff was so friendly and the service was excellent. The monkfish pizza and evolution salad were incredible and dessert is highly recommended, especially the homemade apple pie and the raspberry sorbet. My friends couldn't stop talking about the coffee. I discovered that they also have a restaurant here in the city called Tribeca Hearth at 205 Hudson Street so that will be a new regular spot. Another favorite restaurant was Peasant where the staff was also friendly and warm and the food was delicious. It was such a beautiful weekend and I look forward to visiting again.

The weather in New York has been freezing cold this week as I've been working on Fall 2015. The snow on the ground hasn't yet melted which makes the park such a beautiful place to visit to get inspired and feel creative.
This week on Wynne's World, we meet my beautiful friend Ann Caruso. Ann is a top celebrity stylist and one of my favorite shopping companions. She is always good company, has a great eye and finds the chicest items. Her look is consistently polished, elegant and classic. Here she shares with us her favorite picks for the holiday season. (More information on Ann can be found on anncaruso.com)
HOLIDAY STYLE: For day, I'm always wearing my Heidi Wynne cashmere wraps. (Ann has the Isabelle Wrap in Navy, Black and Dark Camel and the Bella Wrap in Black) Loving my Common Projects silver sneakers that add a little flash with jeans, a button down shirt, and a cashmere sweater. Dior Tribales or Mise en Dior earrings to dress up any outfit. For evening I plan on wearing outfits like a Dolce & Gabbana lace pants with a matching black cardigan with diamanté buttons.
HOLIDAY PLANS: Visiting all of the Holiday Windows at Harry Winston, Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys, Tiffany & Co., Bloomingdales, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Also, visiting St. Patrick’s Cathedral, which is one of the most beautiful places in New York City. It’s all about family and friends over the holidays and getting rejuvenated for the next year. I will spend time with my family and spend a few days at a spa retreat.
