With the exception of one beautiful long weekend in Amagansett, I took a break from the Hamptons and spent most of the summer upstate near Hudson, NY in a little town called Philmont. After falling in love with the area, I decided to start the process of finding a weekend home. Rolling hills, farmland, fresh air, organic produce from the local farmers markets and friendly people are just a few of the many things that make the Hudson Valley so wonderful. Rhinebeck, Red Hook and Claverack are nearby and the area attracts artists, musicians and craftspeople. The challenge is selecting a town because they all have so much to offer.
Warren Street in the town of Hudson
There are numerous antiques shops on Warren Street and the Face Stockholm store sells vintage clothing and accessories in addition to their natural line of makeup and skincare. After spending a day shopping and exploring the town we stumbled into an excellent restaurant called Ca'Mea and enjoyed homemade ravioli and linguine and clams. For dessert we stopped into an adorable little ice cream shop called Lick which serves ice cream made in the Hudson Valley.

Another selling point: The city of Hudson has an Amtrak station and the trip is just under two hours from Penn Station. Alexandra Crewneck, Isabelle Wrap, Sebastian V-Neck
This fall we are loving cashmere staples in dark camel, black and heather grey. A camel cashmere crew neck with black skinny jeans and a grey cashmere wrap or a grey cashmere v-neck with a black pencil skirt and a camel cashmere wrap, this color combination is classic yet looks fresh and modern.
Classic linen shirt, Montauk cowboy hat, Isabella wrap
We are marking the beginning of summer with comfortable, casual classics like our white linen shirt, Montauk raffia cowboy hat, Isabella lightweight cashmere wrap, Avery striped boatneck, Palm Beach hobo and our classic white Rachel cotton tank. Happy Memorial Day!
This week in Wynne’s World, we meet the gorgeous and talented New York based Filmmaker Shruti Rya Ganguly, who shares her favorite things.
Helmut Lang Trench, Giullietta Dress, Heidi Wynne Isabella Wrap
WARDROBE STAPLES: Tailored, patterned, comfortable, collared and colorful tend to describe my favorite pieces - from a Suno shirt I bought recently in San Francisco to a canary yellow Giulietta dress, from a pair of beige harem pants from FabIndia to a light grey Helmut Lang trench coat I've had forever. I’m looking forward to wearing my new Heidi Wynne Isabella cashmere wrap this spring and summer, especially when I travel.
CURRENTLY READING: I'm always reading a few things at a given time. Right now, I have Michael Hainey's After Visiting Friends, to a book on foragers in NYC, called Eat the City, to a book called Clearance and Copyright, which is a handy book for filmmakers.

This winter has been exceptionally long and brutal in New York. We are looking forward to spring with raffia straw hats and bags, a lightweight cashmere/bamboo blend for our sweaters and some beautiful linen shirts that are made in New York City. Of course we will offer our best selling lightweight cashmere Isabella wrap which is a spring and summer staple. Speaking of the Isabella, please stay tuned for some exciting collaborations! Spring is on the way!

Lauren Oversized V-Neck So soft and cozy and perfect for those crisp fall days when you just want to be warm and comfortable.

Rodin Olio Lusso Lip Balm
My friend Danielle recommended the Rodin Olio Lusso lip balm and now I can’t live without it. My lips feel so soft and it will keep them hydrated when the colder weather hits.
Central Park This is my second home during the fall. I love going for a long walk with my dog or an early morning run on a cool fall day.
Habitually Chic: Creativity at Work
For fall reading material, I just ordered Heather Clawson’s book Habitually Chic: Creativity at Work. Having a beautiful work space that inspires you is one of the best ways to stay motivated. My autumn project is to redecorate my home office. Heather is epitome of chic and the master of providing inspiration.
Wynne's World is a series where we meet the people and places that inspired the collection. Today, it's the name behind the label, Heidi Wynne.
WARDROBE STAPLE: Right now it is the Caroline jean in cropped white denim. I also can’t live without the Isabelle cashmere wrap in camel.
